We are a Not-for-profit organization!

“From a teacher’s point of view I just want to say thank you for providing my high school students with their first steps over the bridge to the world of professional improv. This has been an excellent opportunity for them to see themselves as performers outside of the high school setting and I’ve seen a real jump in their self-confidence and professionalism. I just want you to know that the gifts an event like this gives kids can last their whole lives. Thanks again!”

Our Mission

Is to create a fun and safe environment for both children and adults, with the goal of encouraging creativity, confidence, and life skills.

Durham Improv Collective Inc. works at bringing the power of laughter, creativity, and interpersonal skills to as many people as they can. The power of improv has been shown time and time again in self-development and character building and Durham Improv has a focus on reaching populations that otherwise might not have the opportunity to “learn through laughter”.  Durham Improv strives to be the leader in free and subsidized arts-focused workshops for adults with special needs and the families at the local abuse shelters in Durham Region, Ontario.

With the aim of boosting confidence, creativity, and creating a sense of safety and enjoyment for vulnerable populations, Durham Improv relies on it’s sponsors and generous donations from the community, in order to give back to those who need it most.

We would like to thank our sponsors, companies, and individuals for helping us help our community.

If you would like to make a donation to our programs please contact us at info@durhamimprov.com
